If you are bored of the iPhone’s multi touch screen, you can use this third party application called Visua mobile. This application provides an old school look on your iPhone with its rotary dial pad. [GearFuse via Upcoming Cell Phones]
In only a day’s time, one of the biggest rumors about Apple’s iPhone has been debunked. Intel Germany General Manager Hannes Schwaderer previously confirmed the possibility of an Intel Atom-based iPhone coming very soon. But after the news about this rumour spread, the same source of the original rumour takes it back, with a statement from Intel to finally clear things up.
According to the report where Intel disclaimed the rumour, Intel Germany’s CEO was only generalizing about the kinds of device that the Intel Atom might be able to power in the future. Sure, it might be a nice idea, but right now there simply is no truth in the rumors saying that Intel is working closely with Apple now for such a device.
Come to think of it, that the iPhone will have an Intel Atom chip does seem pretty far-fetched, since that would make it more of a UMPC, and not a phone anymore. But haven’t we seen this behavior before, where we innocently spot a few clues somewhere, that later end up being explained by their owners because the news has spread faster than wildfire across the Internet?
Whatever the case may be, feel free to weigh the facts and decide for yourself, if there will be an Atom-based iPhone soon or not.

Everyone wants to kill iPhone. There are some rumors that Nokia will release an iPhone killer called iPerformer. According to the rumor Nokia is working on a serious iPhone contender called iPerformer. Expected to include widescreen
touchscreen, NaviScroll, QWERTY keypad, GPS, FM radio, FM transmitter, WiFi, Bluetooth, TV out, and a Web cam, right now iPerformer is just at rumor stage and won’t be materialized in the near soon.
The picture above is a picture from GoPlay event back in August of 2007, no real picture of this rumored Nokia smartphone yet. And you won’t expect Nokia will use iPerformer as a name for its product, will you ?
So, will we see Nokia smartphone which will compete against iPhone in the market ? I’m sure we will, the question is, when ?
Name seems pretty lame to me, which makes me think rumor is also lame ![]()

There has been a ton of rumors going around about the imminent launch of the 3G iPhone. However, the pre-release version of iPhone firmware 2.0 included in the latest Apple iPhone SDK Beta 5 (Build 5a274D) which is currently available only to members of the iPhone developer program, has revealed that Apple is planning to release the long awaited 3G iPhone probably as early as June just like the rumors have indicated.
It has been officially confirmed by Apple that the iPhone is sold out and will not be available online in the UK and U.S. Further elaboration was declined though we are guessing that the 3G iPhone may show up earlier than we were expecting.
Almost everyone prepare an iPhone version of their web services; so as Google. If you are using Google Reader already, you will love iPhone dedicated Google Reader.
