This is an awesome demo presented by Phil Schiller, an Apple Executive. It’s up close and personal and only makes me more hungry for an iPhone of my own.

In 2000 Cisco won the rights to the “iPhone” name. It was rumored that Apple and Cisco were in the middle of an ongoing negotiation for the name. Apparently Apple jumped the gun and released the product without any signed contract. According to this article Cisco will be suing Apple over the name. Although, it doesn’t sound like Apple is too worried about the situation, considering several VOIP companies were already using the “iphone” name without any prior discrepancies.

The hype about the new Apple iPhone has been overwhelming, to say the least. It didn’t take more than a hour before iPhone.com, a Voice Over IP company, was inundated with users which eventially crashed their servers. Here’s a screenshot of the damage:
