Kindle for iPhone is light on features.
Amazon has released Kindle for iPhone so you can read the Kindle e-books that you already own on your iPhone as well.
The featureset of the application is quite light, it allows you to adjust the text size, add bookmarks or view annotations that you have made on your Kindle. So adding annotations on the iPhone is not possible.
Another useful feature is Whispersync, which allows you to switch between iPhone and Kindle device while reading a book, as the system keeps track of where you have left and transfers that to the other device as well.
As Amazon doesn’t offer an iPhone-optimized version of its site, finding and buying the books is quite a hassle right now. We expect that Amazon rolls out an iPhone optimized service at some point.
Amazon's shopping interface isn't very convenient with the iPhone.
