A few applications for the iPhone are released which allow you to date on-the-go. While Heydar and WhosHere is specifically for the iPhone, making use of its GPS, there are also iPhone apps of established dating sites such as HotOrNot, DatingDNA and SpeedDate.
WhosHere is basically a location-based dating application for iPhone. It allows to connect to people who are geographically close and chat with them. The downside to the app is that the man/woman ratio is too skewed, in other words there are too many men bombarding women with messages.
Heydar is one of the applications which came out from the iPhone application course of Stanford, that we covered previously on Do iPhone. It is not out yet.
HotOrNot, DatingDNA and SpeedDate all have iPhone apps where it’s possible to use already existing accounts and contact members using iPhone or the website itself.
