AppCubby’s insight into iPhone application development

AppCubby received significant PR with their level of openness about their R&D process. During last December, they made a detailed blog post about running a company whose business is iPhone applications. The post goes through marketing and financial aspects.

Their post two days ago, however, created even more buzz, as they did an experiment about the pricing of iPhone apps and brought the price of their apps to $0.99. The following graph explains that revenues only increased for a short time because of press coverage then slided back to previous levels.
